Ahmed Olaitan Banu has general oversight of the business and the responsibility of achieving its objectives.
He has over 15 years of cognate experience spanning Stockbroking, Securities Trading, Investment Management, Institutional Trusteeship, Capital Market Operations, and other financial services. Prior to joining STL, Ahmed was the acting Managing Director and Chief Strategist at Parthian Securities Limited where he led the brand transition of the company to align with the parent company’s brand and created a business framework to drive a competitive edge within the industry while taking the company from zero to one. Previously, he was the Head, Equity Investments at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited; Nigeria’s largest Non-Pension Fund Management firm in terms of Asset Under Management (AUM), where he successfully managed various equity-based Mutual Funds and Portfolios with a total AUM of c. N30billion, delivering positive average annual returns to investors while outperforming agreed benchmarks.

Ahmed is a Charterholder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) and a Certified International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID) Dealer, with a Master’s degree in Investment Management from the prestigious ICMA Centre, University of Reading, UK, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
